Southeast Athletic Association of the Deaf (SEAAD) held the 79th Annual Men’s and 35th Annual Women’s Regional Basketball Tournament at Tampa, Florida, on March 5-7, 2026.
SEAAD hosted 13 men’s and 7 women’s teams over the weekend. The women’s tournament kicked off with first round games #4-seeded Lady Marlins started hot with a win over the #5 Blazers 48-4, the #3-seeded Dreamer defeated the #6 Lady Buzz City 42-17, #2 SWAAD Taz fell to the #7 ATL Shooting Stars 54-37. Semi-Final game saw action between #1 seed Tampa Sol, who steamrolled over #4 Lady Marlins 47-16, upcoming suprise team #7 ATL Shooting stars defeated #3 Dreamer 32-13 to enter SEAAD Women’s Champion berth, On Losing side of bracket SWAAD Taz defeated Lady Buzz City 23-6 then won by forefit with Blazers and captured 5th place finish. Champion Game saw heated action between #1 Tampa Sol vs #7 ATL Shooting Stars, and Tampa Sol came out with a victory over Shooting Stars 48-41 finish to capture back-to-back SEAAD Champion.
The Men’s Tournament kicked off with 1st round actions, new upcoming team #8 NERA Brotherhood defeated #9 SC Copperheads 72-39, #4 seeded Gorilla narrowly defeated #13 Orlando Knight 58-57, #5 ATL Hawks defeated #12 Georgia Bulldogs 77-56, Returning team #7 Vipers lost to #10 NC Flights 65-58, new upcoming team #6 Southern Hawks deafeated #11 St Augustine Hoplites 62-51. 2nd round action saw top teams in action, #1 FSAD Bombers handled #8 NERA Brotherhood 79-52, #4 Gorilla fell to #5 seeded ATL Hawks 69-47, #2 seeded SE Hoopstars smothered #10 NC Flight 80-37, #3 Florida Spartans handled #6 Southern Hawks 80-67. On consolation Bracket #8 NERA Brotherhood steamrolled into 5th place, facing #12 Georgia Bulldogs and narrowly defeated the Bulldogs 48-42 to capture 5th place finish. The semi-final game saw action between #1 FSAD Bombers manhandling #5 ATL Hawks 65-32, other side of the semi-final game, #2 SE Hoopstars steamrolled over #3 Florida Spartans 93-52 to score a rematch game against Bombers. 3rd Place saw ATL Hawks defeated Florida Spartans 51-48 to capture 3rd Place Finish for the Hawks. The Champion game saw a heated wire-to-wire competition with SE Hoopstars defeating FSAD Bombers 65-59 to recapture SEAAD Champion
